There are loads of places to go and all within a short distance form Camarthen Bay Park, making it an ideal holiday location. The town of Camarthen, for example, is only a 30 minute ride. It is the oldest town in all of Wales and it brings together the old and historical aspects of the place, together with the modern for those of us that may enjoy a bit of shopping too!?

Merlins Hill Centre – A magical day for all the family. Walk the nature trails to the Iron Age hill fort site and experience breathtaking views enjoyed by Merlin the Wizard. The centre also has a farmyard and picnic area. Oakwood Theme Park - The largest theme park in Wales with thrilling rides and attractions for all ages! Tenby – Take a day trip to Tenby and enjoy fabulous beaches, shopping and castles. Culla Park Activity Centre for paintball, 4 X 4 driving, dual karting and quad biking. Kidwelly Castle – This well-preserved Norman Castle stands over the River Gwendraeth, set in picturesque surroundings. The National Botanic Garden of Wales at Llanarthne – The first botanic garden of the new millennium with acres of themed gardens. National Wetlands Centre – See scarce and unusual sightings at this protected site for birds. Gwili Steam Railway – Enjoy a steam train ride through a beautiful wooded valley and take a picnic by the riverside. The National Showcaves at Dan-yr-Ogof – Has 3 spectacular showcaves, Iron Age farm, Dinosaur Park and Shire horse centre.
